Sarah earned her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Chicago’s Saint Xavier University in 2014. She has worked in charter schools, private clinics, and therapeutic day programs in Naperville, Wheaton, and Chicago serving students with autism, complex communication needs, and emotional/behavioral disorders. Through her work with these diverse populations, Sarah has gained extensive skills in evaluating and treating pragmatic language disorders, motor speech disorders, and language delays, particularly in children who also have challenging behaviors. Sarah has also participated in additional training on supporting children and families using Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
Sarah is thrilled to combine her love of animals and speech-language pathology by providing the option to work with a therapy dog during your child's sessions. Sarah's therapy is focused on the whole child with an emphasis on parent participation. Her therapy is designed to help her clients participate in meaningful communication in their daily lives by targeting real-world goals and objectives and integrating animal assisted therapy to ease the anxiety of those challenging situations.
Sarah is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist and maintains licensure in the state of Illinois.
